Government Partners

The People’s Credit and Finance Corporation (PCFC) was established by virtue of Memorandum Order 261 & Administrative Order No. 148. Republic Act 8425 of 1998 or the Social Reform and Poverty Alleviation Act further strengthened the role of PCFC as the lead government entity specifically tasked to mobilize resources for microfinance services for the exclusive use of the poor.

Following its mandate to provide the poor access to credit and other microfinance services to uplift their economic status, PCFC wholesales short, medium & long term investment loans to accredited Microfinance Institutions (MFIs). These are Rural or Cooperative Banks, Thrift Banks, Non- Government Organizations (NGOs) and Cooperatives that implement credit assistance programs using any proven microfinance lending methodology to finance livelihood projects that can augment the income of targeted poor clients

PCFC Partners with One Logic for E-Learning Management System

People’s Credit & Finance Corporation (PCFC) signed a Service Contract with One Logic Systech, Inc., (One Logic) in a simple ceremony held last June 10, 2009 at the PCFC Boardroom in Makati City. Present during the signing were Ms. Julia Valdez, PCFC VP for Support; Atty. Noel Poso, PCFC VP for Operations; and Mr. Napoleon Bercasio, PCFC I. T. Manager. One Logic was represented by its President Jayson dela Rosa and Vice President Darwin Letran.

In line with the joint project undertaken by PCFC and Fundacion CODESPA, the project aims to establish an Electronic Learning (E-Learning) Management System by developing a 100% Browser-based Electronic Learning System that integrates community and real-time conferencing features which through the internet will make all relevant materials available to PCFC’s accredited MFI partners, end-clients and other microfinance practitioners.

One Logic commits to use the Peacock Suite software which consists of Virtual Community, Learning Management System, Virtual Classroom and Courseware Authoring Tool. Project completion is expected by September 2009.
