All parts and units must have a
single brand and identifiable by a legitimate Part Number. PCFC shall only
accept Part Numbers that can be validated through the assembler’s web site (hp.com., ibm.com, fjitusu.com, etc) or product brochure.
All parts should either be
original or OEM only.
OEM is defined as a part of a computer
subcontracted by the assembler (Compaq, Dell, IBM, etc.) to other manufacturers (Seagate, Maxtor, Accton, etc.) but was installed and certified by the
former.
Parts supplied/installed by the
vendor, distributor or the assembler itself is considered as “third-party”
and NOT OEM if the vendor, distributor
or assembler supplied them on their own and did not came with the base unit
even if the said part is exactly the same as that of the OEM. For OEM hard disks,
only those re-branded by the assembler shall be accepted.
Vendor/Supplier must have adequate
authorized service centers (at least in key cities)
Each PC shall be accompanied with:
All manuals that come with the unit (User/Technical/Installation,
etc.)
Three years warranty on parts and labor
including monitor
Warranty certificate (including
the authorized service center) indicating control no. and date of purchase. This will replace invoice which is usually asked by service centers
before they render their services
